"Over the years I had been fortunate enough to rescue two different adult retired greyhounds. They provided a lot of love and support over the years. The second one I adopted I had for seven years. She lived to thirteen years old. After I lost my second one, I took a break for a while.
Recently I had been wanting to get another retired racer. I began my search for another dog in need. As many people know most all the racetracks in the US have closed. There are just two tracks in West Virginia still open. Because of this it was more difficult to find a retired racer. I decided that maybe it wasn’t meant for me to rescue another one.
About two and half years ago (August 2020) I started my search back to see what was out there. On a whim I decided to see if there were any puppies out there. I found a few breeders out there. I began to contact a couple that were close to me. I did not get a response from either one of them. The third one that I contacted was The Greyt Family Farm. I received an almost immediate response. Jeff also had Mustang a beautiful blue greyhound and Wonder Woman a beautiful high spirited black female. This was the pairing that I had in my mind that I wanted. I was fortunate that was to be the pairing for his next litter. Jeff kept in contact throughout the whole process. He sent pictures as soon as the litter was born. I was able to get an adorable blue female and the exact puppy that I chose from the first pictures. She brought so much joy to my life.
When Graysen was almost a year old, I decided that I wanted a sister for her. So, I reached out Jeff again to see when Mustang and Wonder Woman would be paired again. It was just in time. She was already pregnant, and it was with Mustang. I was lucky enough to get a second puppy. This time I picked the cutest black female. It meant a lot to me that they would-be full-blooded sisters. Like in their human counter parts they are completely opposite. Graysen is delicate in her bone structure, refined and prissy like a girl. Midnight Skye has a larger bone structure and is a complete tomboy. Graysen does not like to get wet or go out in the rain. Skye will go out in the rain and lay right down in a mud puddle.
They are both great dogs, so sweet and loving. I could not have asked for a better experience or a better breeder. I am so grateful and thankful to Jeff and his family for providing families with some amazing purebred dogs. I had DNA test done on Graysen and she was over 90% pure Greyhound. That is about as purebred as you can get in that breed.
So, if you are interested in bringing a Greyhound into your family this is the breeder that I would recommend. I keep in contact with him still to this day if I have a question or want to see pictures of the new puppies. I even send pictures of my girls when they do something cute. He is a very involved and wanting to make sure that all of his dogs are placed with the correct families."
"We had such a great experience working with Jeff! Our Greyhound, Phoebe, was the runt of the litter and got extra love and attention from his wife, Jennifer, to help her eat and grow so she was ready to come to us happy and healthy! It's so amazing to be able to have a greyhound as a puppy- and we truly didn't know what to expect- while she does fit the stereotype of being incredibly fast (and also very lazy) she is also so smart, spunky, loving, great with kids and a HUGE Velcro dog- she loves her people :-)
Jeff has gone above and beyond any breeder we’ve ever worked with! The care the pups receive from Jeff, his wife, and his kids is amazing- it's so evident that they love the dogs and enjoy every minute of working with them! Even after the adoption, he has been easy to contact, reached out multiple times, and started a Facebook group so we can connect with others and also keep him informed with pictures and updates! We know in the future we will definitely go through Jeff again- his puppies, family, and work ethic are unmatched! "
" A very good friend of mine and his precious family, started breeding some retired racers off the track. The puppies are incredibly, intelligent loving and even though they are typical Greyhound’s, they have added flare in their personalities. I have had retired racers for 20 more years, and I have never experienced anything like this last year and a half. I was having so much trouble with the adoption agencies, (I had fostered, adopted, and was dedicated to these dogs,,) and still unable to get racers to my home. My prayer is we find the racers home, and then in the future enjoy some of these precious puppies that will be available. I don’t think I can live my life without a greyhound. Recently my friend and his wife have obtained several more adults to breed. They have five children and these puppies are raised in such a loving wonderful environment."
" Every day we are beyond grateful for our Greyhound puppy and Greyt Family Farms. Jeffrey is an expert, having a wealth of experience and knowledge about Greyhounds and his wife and children are all devoted to the process from beginning to end. It’s truly a family business. The care, devotion, expertise and love that is given these Greyhounds truly shows. Our puppy is the most unique, special, loving dog we have ever had! She has quickly became an important and integral part of our family and is so intelligent and fun. We cannot imagine our life without her. We know we will definitely get another Greyhound from Jeffrey again. It’s been the most rewarding experience! Jeff is always on hand with any questions or concerns and loves to see photos. We cannot recommend Jeffrey and Greyt Family Farms high enough! "
